I’m thrilled to share that my image “Forest Cradle” has been awarded the Gold Medal in the Wildlife Photography category at the Black & White International Photo Awards 2026.

About the image

Forest Cradle captures a young mountain gorilla resting in dense forest foliage, caught in a quiet moment of stillness — watchful, curious, and utterly at ease in its surroundings. For me, it’s a portrait about vulnerability and belonging: a young life shaped by close family bonds, in a habitat that depends entirely on continued protection.

This was taken at Volcanoes National Park, Rwanda.
