About Me

I’m Subi Sridharan, a UK-based wildlife photographer with a particular passion for photographing wildlife in Africa and beyond.

Photography began as a hobby, but over the years it has become an increasingly important part of my life. What draws me most is not simply documenting an animal, but capturing a moment of behaviour, character, light or atmosphere that tells a story.

Much of my work focuses on African wildlife, from elephants and big cats to mountain gorillas, chimpanzees and birds. I am particularly drawn to intimate portraits, unusual behaviour, monochrome imagery and compositions that show wildlife within its environment.

My photography has received recognition in international wildlife and photography competitions and has been published and exhibited. I have also been fortunate to support conservation organisations and initiatives through my photography.

Travel remains a large part of the journey. Whether I am photographing gorillas in the forests of Rwanda and Uganda, elephants in Botswana and Kenya, or landscapes in Namibia, I try to create photographs that convey something of the experience of being there.

For me, wildlife photography is ultimately about connection — with the animal, the landscape and the fleeting moments that can never be recreated.
